Guide to Doha

Doha is the modern and progressive capital of Qatar, where traditional culture meets contemporary architecture. The city offers a unique experience that combines authentic Arabic heritage with advanced modernity.
Doha is famous for its stunning skyline filled with towering skyscrapers, beautiful beaches, traditional souqs, and world-class museums. It's an ideal destination for travelers seeking a blend of history, culture, and entertainment.
Doha Metro impresses with its convenience and thoughtfulness. From the airport you can comfortably reach almost any point in the city. Unlike Dubai, an excellent network of lines has been created here, covering all districts of the capital. The trains are hidden underground, so on the streets you won't see rails or overpasses - only clean, spacious stations with bright, modern design.
The fare costs symbolically - about half a dollar, and for active travelers it's convenient to buy a day ticket. Doha Metro is an example of how public transport can be not just a means of transportation, but part of the city's impressions.
Excellent place to start getting acquainted with the city. The market has been carefully restored and is literally designed for leisurely walks. The air is filled with the aroma of spices, around you are shops with traditional clothing, souvenirs and dozens of little things that are impossible to look away from. Here you feel the real atmosphere of the East - bright, noisy and hospitable.
The restaurant offers an authentic gastronomic experience with traditional Arabic dishes, prepared with special taste and attention to detail. It is located directly on the territory of the central market Souq Waqif - in the heart of Doha. The interiors impress with their atmosphere: carved details, soft lighting and a magnificent chandelier above the stairs, which especially impressed us.

The park is located just a few steps from Doha Tower and other modern skyscrapers. Especially beautiful here in the evening, when the whole area is bathed in soft lighting. The atmosphere becomes almost magical - perfect for walking or a short stop with a view of the sparkling city. You can also rent a bicycle in the park - for one, two or even three people.
We highly recommend using the ferry to cross to the other side of the bay. From the water opens a stunning view of the city - especially in the evening, when skyscrapers are flooded with soft light and reflected in the water. Such a walk will give you a completely different feeling of Doha - calm, romantic and mesmerizing.

If you take a ferry ride, you can see the impressive statue up close, dedicated to the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar. It symbolizes national pride and the country's sporting achievements. The sculpture is installed on a separate island and looks especially beautiful in the evening, when it's illuminated by bright lights reflected in the water.
Katara Cultural Village is the true heart of Doha's cultural life. Here festivals, exhibitions and concerts are held year-round, gathering local residents and city guests. The spacious area combines art galleries, music venues and cultural centers, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and creativity.
North Green Hill is a quiet natural refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the city. An ideal place to rest, breathe fresh air and enjoy the greenery. It's especially impressive how such a picturesque oasis was created in the heart of the desert. Wide alleys, well-maintained lawns and panoramic views make this place perfect for walking and contemplation.
This is the real Venice in the middle of the Qatari desert - an amazingly beautiful area inspired by the atmosphere of Italy. Canals, elegant bridges, house facades in pastel colors and gondolas create a feeling as if you've been transported to Venice itself. You can only get here by taxi, as public transport doesn't go to this area yet, but the trip is definitely worth it.
From the corniche opens a stunning view of one of Qatar's most unusual buildings - Crescent Tower, executed in the shape of a crescent. Walking along the corniche, you can watch how the new city of Lusail grows and enjoy the modern architectural landscape, harmoniously adjacent to the calm sea surface.

Aspire Tower is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in Doha. Its shape resembles a torch, and inside, in addition to offices and ordinary skyscraper spaces, there is a sports museum. The theme is not accidental: the tower is part of the Doha Sports City complex, dedicated to sports and an active lifestyle.
Doha is definitely a city worth visiting. The best time to visit is from November to March when the weather is more moderate. The city is very safe and offers a comfortable and exciting travel experience.

Doha Airport impresses with its scale and thoughtfulness. It's an entire city under one roof, where modern driverless trains shuttle between terminals. On its territory - many shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as unexpected places that turn waiting for a flight into an exciting journey in itself.
